I've been interested in Telescopes since I was in Elementary School many many years ago. My first issue of Sky and Telescope was Sept., 1968. I still have it. Most of those years I have been primarily a visual observer. I was one of the very early owners of a 20" Obsession f/5, which I still have today.

While I have dabbled in Astrophotography in the past, I seriously got interested in it last year (2013). This site is an attempt to pass on some of the knowledge I have gained.

I believe the Astrophotography systems are exactly that, systems. They can not just be thought of as a bunch of discrete components only vaguely related to each other. What works very well in one system may not work at all well in another. In these pages I will detail my system as it currently exists along with why I use the components I have.
