I mentioned in my previous blog post that I wasn't happy combining my earlier color data for Messier 45, the Pleiades with the luminosity data I gathered Christmas night. Tuesday night the forecast was for clear skies for about 2 hours. The nearly full Moon was low enough I hoped I would be able to grab the color data I needed if the clouds held off. As it turned out, the plan came together quite nicely. So now all of the data for this version was taken with my Stellarvue 80 with the pinched optics replaced.
