I just got back from a couple days out in West Virginia. On this weeks agenda was gutting the one room to deal with some water damage. Still, I had a good time with my family.
I did manage to do a little image processing on my latest project while I was there. I imaged Messier 63, the Sunflower galaxy last year but the results were rather poor. I decided to give it another go. I usually shoot 5m subs for color but this time I decided to try 10m subs and see what happened. Total integration time was 7 hours and 40 minutes.
This is a beautiful galaxy that is thought to be part of the Messier 51 group (the Whirlpool galaxy).
